It seems we won't send a #spacecraft out to take a closer look at 3I/ATLAS because it would take too long to get such a mission ready to #launch. But what if we "parked" a spacecraft out in orbit, primed to chase after exciting objects like 3I/ATLAS as soon as we spot them?

We had an exciting time at ESA ESOC yesterday watching these beautiful images arrive. These already amazing views are from engineering monitoring cameras;the science cameras will give us far better images after arrival in orbit in late 2026. #BepiColombo #planetaryscience
