Life feels quiet without DaddyChef... trying to make the most of my free time now... 😇 As I've mentioned in a previous post, noodle companies love making new flavours every year... Samyang are always trying their best to be innovative and productive at the same time - gosh this sounds like a business presentation... <puke> 😖 Samyang have released some new "Tangle" flavours, and I wanted to try all of them.

I need a break from home life. The year 2025 has been tough so far. One morning, back in May, I went to the new post office in Walworth Road to post an item for DaddyChef (before he passed away), and because I had some free time, I went to have lunch. I've been wanting to go to Saint Louie for a while now.

A short post. Not been in the mood to post lately, so a light post to lighten the mood. I tried out Samyang's Buldak Rosé Hot Chicken flavoured noodles. I feel like recently there's always a new flavour (or packaging) coming out. This was somehow £2.50!! Shocking price for smallish packet of noodles! I cooked them as instructed and placed in the flavouring afterwards.

During the Easter period of 2025, I felt the urge to do The Big Egg Hunt. But, I was too lazy to the whole thing, so I chose the areas that a large amount of eggs on display. My first stop was Battersea Power Station. This was after a long walk from Kew Bridge, so I was already exhausted. Thankfully I managed to find all of them.

Finally feel satisfied with the ending Squid Game 3! I watched in one sitting before posting this blogpost. Hopefully no more traumas or nightmares! 🙃 I became a victim of Dubai chocolate! Since I’m a diet-controlled diabetic, I occasionally miss out on eating on the sweet stuff… I sometimes have FOMO, like with the Labubu craze, I feel like I’m missing out just putting an ugly plush on one of my bags.

I took a week off at the end of March. It was my birthday, and it was time for a short break.I needed a break from eating low carbs, so I planned to eat ramen. Did you know that Japan Centre in the UK owns this ramen store called Ramen Yokocho? I've not been into a ramen place where there's a lot of decorations of nostalgia.

Finally a bookshop has reappeared in the Elephant & Castle area! If you have lived in the Walworth and Elephant & Castle area, you would have noticed very few bookshops appear in the area. Books were often bought in the WHSmith or the secondhand bookshop in the shopping centre (I often went and browsed), or in the many charity shops along Walworth Road, or you would have gone to the local libary (back then it was Newington Library - before the fire), or if you are/were a long living resident of Walworth, there was a brief period of time when there was a Wordsworth Bookshop.

Think it's time for another blogpost! Haven't had an any inspiration to blog recently. Writer's block maybe? I'm reading Breasts and Eggs by Mieko Kawakami at the moment (I'm on the last chapter), and I've felt a part of me was like the main character - trying to write, but nothing comes to mind... So before I read the last chapter, I'm back to food blogging for the time being!

On this one day in October, Baby B went and did a five mile walkathon in aid of the children at Great Ormond Street Hospital. I wasn't able to get there in time, but saw Baby B and various members of her family there... Gosh, I'm sure there will be other opportunities! It already felt like a long day and after Baby B and Master B went to visit their grandparents, Miss Pinky and I were left alone to do our dynamic duo outing!

I happened to stop outside this shop, and decided to go for a sugar free bubble tea.I realised earlier in the summer that bubble tea shops offer sugar free bubble tea - 0% sugar! Hahah! Had I known earlier, I would have bought more bubble tea... maybe... T4 is next to Kiki and MiuMiu... if you had noticed, the shop is extended, but T4 is a separate entity in the space that they've been given.

During a walk to Embankment Pier, I spotted a branch of the Bunsik Shop. The one in Charing Cross Road is always, ALWAYS busy. This was my chance to go to a not-so-busy store. In this small store, you can use the self-service machine, and so I used this opportunity to order more when I shouldn't... But, I had just done a long walk, and felt, this was going to be a once-a-year order for me.
