About 1.5 million Ugandans live with HIV/AIDS, according to the United Nations, and about 1.2 million of those people take antiretroviral drugs which are provided through #USAID funding.

~ #USAID was key during Covid-19 response in Uganda. In 2021, at the height of a deadly variant, #USAID contributed US$3.5 million for oxygen and other supplies. In 2022 during Ebola outbreak, Uganda received viral hemorrhagic fever kits,gloves,boots,masks and scrubs.
