Doing a podcasting presentation to a classroom at UIC. Had a fun time connecting with students about tying this work to the social climate and giving voice to advocates and activists. Also, each time I present, a student names Joe Rogan as his fav podcaster 🤮

I held a lot of resentment for my parents. I didn't, at the time, understand why, because I didn't know the trauma. I didn't understand the trauma that they had yet to process.Because no one talked about it, and the history books didn't talk about it.

As content creators, we should all be intercepting harmful narratives and bringing information on what is happening in Chicago. The sooner we know how to respond, the more lives will be saved. Let’s stop the rage baiting and disrupt this violent climate we're living in.

To the Chicago content creators who are choosing silence in this moment, just remember that there may NOT be a small business to enjoy when ICE is kidnapping people.

If your platform has benefited from the support of Chicago folks, this is your chance to show that you'll stand with them.
