I also don't love the general notion in the replies to AOC that moving to the center is an inherently bad thing. It's just more of the "Maximize the base," 50.1% strategy that doesn't do shit to create a broadly popular platform/brand.

I don't think we're anywhere close to having enough data to know if the Cheney play was effective at bringing in Indps and disaffected Rs, or more detrimental in turning away leftists. Maybe it will be the latter. But do we have enough to definitively say either right now?
