I don't ask for sales updates on release day because I'm busy doing tour events, and when I'm done I usually go to sleep because I generally have to wake up early to go to the next tour event. Anyway, bestseller lists don't show up for a week anyway, and if I get on those, they email me about it

People are saying we lost our democracy because of Trump's actions over the past month. I would argue that while his actions are definitely sinking us deeper into fascism, the fact that he was able to become president shows that we may have never had a democracy in the first place
