Luo Binghe has a scowl on his face and tears falling as he braves through an abyss. He carries two swords: Zheng Yang on his right hand, and Xin Mo on his left, surrounded by countless other broken swords. Behind him, a fan with two visible guards. The Fan itself contains important moments of Luo Binghe's life, each segment getting progressively more surreal and bloody as his life unfolds. From left to right: -The first guard, Shen Jiu's relaxed expression with his eyes closed, partially hiding his face with his fan, a red crane soaring facing left, to a time before binghe. -Young Binghe gets tea poured over him by Shen Jiu, his idealized vision of his newfound master shatered as tears roll down his eyes. -His fellow disciples laugh and mock his fake jade pendant, his only memento of his mother, now lost. -SQQ pierces Binghe and pushes him into the abyss. Luo Binghe cries, weakly holding the sword that pierces his chest while the blood from his wounds flow down the fan towards the red river and form the silhouette of his new self, raised in the abyss with a silent scream. -Shen QingQiu chooses to self destruct. Binghe is on the ceiling, trying to reach for Shen Qingqiu, whose hair swings up as energy envelops him. The red moon watches over both. -Binghe's long and slow suffering, keeping Shen QingQiu's body intact. He holds his deceased master's body gently with both hands and cries in silence. -Binghe, completely dominated by xin mo, turns towards SQQ for vengeance for all his suffering. A terrified SQQ is reflected on the blood in his sword. -SQQ offers binghe his salvation card: his lost pendant, kept safe by SQQ, to bring him back from his posessed state and save him before the worst could happen. On the second guard, after everything, Shen Yuan faces forward, anguished but caring. On the fan hiding his face a crane with butterfly wings faces right, out of the fan, ready for their new story to unfold, too.

The thing with sqh as a narrator is that he is unreliable, but specially in regards to himself. I'm getting ahead of myself but MBJ walked, killed ppl, had a Convo with him, all while bearing excruciating pain and /did not shed a single tear/. This is of course important to what's gonna happen.

One of the most fun things to me, and that I feel can be sidelined, is the fact mbj has, in fact, feelings and can and /does/ speak like anyone else -the thing is that he does so mostly with sqh. Either way, here we have a young mbj laughing 🤣 mobei, if only you knew he was right...in a way.

I also like the way that mbj responds almost in tandem with sqh's wishes here. This is a narrative recourse that happens somewhat often with them, how mbj magically always does the things sqh was thinking abt or was about to want. Talk abt match made by hand (literally-)😌

That’s what happened, I swear! sqh: yeah, yeah, you drunk geezer. I should go before binghe sees me here... (mumbled: my king..) sqq: yes you should, you’re already asleep anyway. I don’t want your lazy ass snoring here when he comes home. he gets very territorial whenever I drink. Panel 2: Shang qinghua smiles with his eyes closed sqh: What is it with demons and being so possessive.. (mumbled: kinda cute tho...) panel 3: shadows start creeping up sqh's arm, gently touching him sqh: haa so gentle... feels like my king’s shadows... Sqq: what? panel 4: mobei jun starts taking shape through the shadows sqh: would you come for me if I wanted a lift, my king.. Me too, mobei.All the time I just.. I just want you closer... panel 2: qinghua falls asleep and mobei jun holds his face, unimpressed. Once again, their already limited time together is cut short. mbj: ...You little...Even after we bonded you still think that it's free reign to tease me so? panels 3&4: mobei jun nudges qinghua's lips open with a finger and gets closer in a ghost of a kiss, but doesn't kiss him. mbj: the next time you call for me drunk and heated, *I* will be the reason why you can't get out of bed. Not some cheap human alcohol. page 6, panels 1 to5: another view of moshang's room, indicating the passage of time. A close up of qinghua as he wakes up and then quickly gets up while remembering what happened the night before. sqh: urgh.. my head.. sqh [thinking]: my bed...? sqh: right..Mobei brought me home and- WAIT A MINUTE. sqh [getting up immediately, his hair disheveled and pointing in all directions]: Mobei. Mobei brought me. he was free and I was free and- sqh [remembering the events that transpired during the night]: we were both free and horny- And I could've gotten laid but I was too trashed!? (mumbling) did he at least- no. I would've known if he did.. sqh, realizing that despite being nude, nothing is amiss: He just.. took my clothes so I could sleep. Fuck you past me!! MY KIIIIINNNNGGG panel6: mobei jun is seated at the throne, listening to a petitioner while hearing shang qinghua call out for him. He huffs a "hmpf" as though he achieved some sort of vengeance. Next time, someone will know better than to throw away a perfect oportunity. End.
