Likewise, if a show/movie/game doesn't give me enough to be afraid of, I am equally unafraid. People don't tend to be afraid of the dark unless they think there's something in it, because "yes, more darkness" isn't a very compelling answer "Is anyone there?"

Strikes me as a kind of inverse of "don't show the monster". If you show me that the monster is just some fantasy creature or a guy in a suit with some CGI over him in the case of live-action media, I'm unafraid.

I eventually name them all because I do think it's important, at least to me, but I will admit I have a long-form story I've been working on for years where the villain in my notes is still just named "BBEG" which is short for "Big Bad Evil Guy". It'll come eventually, but eventually is not now lol.

I'm not sure if it's as simple as just toggling the option, but mine records timelapses whenever I create a new file, so you can set it up to do that.
