This is the insane part. The level of education one needs and self advocacy required not just in this case but in general across healthcare.
"It remains incumbent on the woman herself to look at her risk factors, to talk to her doctor and say, 'Hey, I'd like to get an MRI,'" she says. "Don't wait for them to recommend it to you."
