I would even be okay with the game looking like yet another open world taking place on a desolate island devoid of contemporary living as long as long as the Aniimols just… feel alive at all times. That would be so amazing for a monster taming game.

At first, Aniimo seemed a little slow on movement as the streamer played through the tutorial, but the multi-million Gatcha Game Budget charm revealed itself through Aniimo’s Polish in how the Aniimols are animated, and… wow.

Probably the strongest Main Human Characters written for the entire World Franchise, and I agree that the first half is compelling... though I also liked... well, besides the sad parts, I enjoyed how the second half played out as well.

I likely won't want to rewatch it, but I'm thankful it lasted 5 seasons, and glad my brain's RAM made me remember it today.

The thing I remember most, and relate to, is in the last season where something significant happens that leaves the remaining main character drowning in silence and powerlessness in knowing they are expected to ["get over it"] like nothing happened. And so they decide to lash out.

I never got into the show when it first released, as I was a kid 100% not interested in Gore, and never-ending negativity. But in the later life of the show, I gave it a shot and... there was something so compelling about following a person that was on the receiving end of all that negativity.
