It isn't that you have more control over your computer with Linux, all of the OSes out there have the tools available to manipulate the hardware and bend it to your will... It's the freedom it gives you to break away from the chains of the other OSes, and most important, the knowledge you gain...

I think it would be very nice too. When, (and it isn't very often, unfortunately) i do yoga i have much the same calming experience.
