Oh goodness.... I have no clue what a mystery ball is but there are squishy balls for building hand strength and they do come in blue. Maybe mystery balls are like those toys that come in balls that you don't know what it is....? Best of luck.

YouTube videos are a good way to learn! I recommend Ellies Handcrafted Jewelry and Oxana to start with. They helped me learn a lot! It's a good way to distract yourself from this shit world.

Mostly crocheter but I do knit a tiny bit. I need to finish up a pair of legwarmers and learn some increases and decreases so I can make a hat, socks and mittens! I love the texture of knitting more but I like the act of crotcheting more. I wish I was faster at knitting. Someday!
