the most fun i’ve had with sophy is doing 1v1s on the nurburgring 24 hour circuit. it can at times be hard to find a good car to go against that doesn’t give a huge advantage to either of you but it’s good fun there. otherwise sophy’s not great to race.

-past them which feels horribly cheap.
3) sophy seems to hang around a second or a few behind you once you get into the lead. they… really don’t have impressive pace.
4) their racecraft isn’t great either if we’re being honest.
5) not available on ovals.
6) cannot drive certain cars.

when it comes to sophy ai, i responded to socky’s initial post with flaws i found in it, but here’s some more detail

1) sophy can only use rolling starts
2) on certain types of cars sophy is just slower than the player, to the point where you have a strong risk of either rear ending them or flying-

-grinding makes the problem even worse.The youtuber Roflwaffle made a really good video going into depth on the non-sophy AI in GT7 (which showcases that sophy AI isn’t strictly “necessary” and the regular AI can be really good on its own) which i recommend if you want more detail on the ai flaws.

-racing and just enjoy myself driving. Because at the moment the main thing that keeps me going in the game is the desire to collect more cars and do stuff with them, but the racing as of now isn’t really fun enough for me to slog through the grind. That only some races are actually good for-

If I’m honest, I’m a guy with pretty low standards for entertainment so if the ai was better and you could play the game offline, I’d honestly be willing to overlook many of the game’s other flaws. because then for someone like me i’d be engaged on track enough that I could just lose myself in the-

i will say though that the F-3500B looks absolutely fantastic as an open wheel guy. two grand prix tracks and a new grand prix single seater are always a win for me.
