My first instinct was that maybe this was why the ship is Saori Hayami, and then thought about it for half a second and realized it doesn't explain anything. I'm treating it like the great mystery of Gnosia and it's probably a totally random casting decision.

Riko Mine Lupin from Aria the Scarlet Ammo is a legit femme fatale. At least in the first season, she properly does the femme fatale thing through to the end. Hell yeah.
