I watch movies, read comics, buy crap I don’t need and go to the pub but I have weekends off and I am my own boss.
I’m not saying I’m the greatest hero the world has ever known but tonight I drank a bottle of Baileys that was 3 years out of date.

I’ve been up since 7.30am so I think it’s time I took my union mandated afternoon nap. 😴

“Our UK tour kicks off tonight in Dublin” 🙄

Enjoying this but I can’t be the only one hoping Carol cheers the fuck up a bit soon. Intriguing premise aside, having your main character as an anti-social depressive is a tough sell.

On a historic night in Irish history Ireland beat Portugal 2-0 and my team won the pub quiz. Cue: Maggie Thatcher your boys etc.

Thank God most people don't realise that Bugonia is a remake of a Korean movie - Save the Green Planet. I don't think I could stomach another The Departed/Infernal Affairs round of edge lords taking to social media to shout about the original film being better.

Has anyone ever bought a light kit for LEGO?
Worth it?

I watched GDT’s Frankenstein again. Isaac is terrible in it and almost sinks the film. There’s also the scene of Frankenstein cutting up bodies in his lab that’s scored like you’re watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Apart from that I loved all the creature stuff so overall really enjoyed it.

People complaining about A.I. on social media already feels like this. I mean it’s here and staying here so why get so upset over it?

One Battle After Another will be online this Friday. Looking forward to watching it again.

4 days later 🙄
(delivered by UPS who left it in my next door neighbour’s green bin completely ignoring any attempt to deliver to me - at home, unlocked porch door 🙄🙄)

This is the first year I’ve noticed a big drop off in the number of times I go to the cinema. I used to go to everything and had a genuine fomo for new releases but now I just can’t be bothered. Only mentioning this as I’ve been reading the fair to poor reviews of The Running Man. 🤷

This show is absolutely mental.

Still watching this but, and this might sound ridiculous seeing as it’s a Stallone tough guy show, I really wish they’d dial down the testosterone a bit. Every week is just endless scenes of grizzled aulfellas growling that they’re going to kill each other.

This thing got generally good reviews but, dear god, it’s fucking awful. I don’t remember the first one much but I certainly don’t feel the HATE I feel about this one towards it. Hawke must have read the script and thought “seriously? I can film all my scenes in 2 days?”
Terrible doesn’t come close.
I can’t remember the first one at all (not a good sign) but, anyway, #nowwatching

Looking forward to seeing the new documentary on the making of Exorcist 2. No matter how good the documentary is it’ll never convince me that film is anything more than a steaming pile of shite. How Boorman made the brilliant Deliverance THEN Zardoz THEN Exorcist 2 is a real head scratcher.

2nd go at watching Black Phone 2 but it’s so awful I’m not sure I’ll be able to finish it. Also life’s too short etc.

*live inside my mind* So with the current Criterion USA sale you can get The Wes Anderson Archive delivered for “only” €300 including taxes. Plus I’ve recently received an unexpected €150 tax rebate so I’m actually getting it for €150.

*eyeball twitches uncontrollably*

Aitch who?

God bless you

Enjoyed this. Good sci-fi with its own twist on a lot of familiar themes. Not sure where it’s going or how long it can continue (and I hope RS cheers up a bit) but I’ll definitely keep watching.

Giving blood and the place is really busy so people have obviously responded to the recent blood shortage appeals. 👍🏻😊

They said it would never happen but I’ve finally found something on the Irish Amazon site that’s cheaper than the English site and it’s a 4K movie!
The wonders will never cease.
Seriously though, it must be a mistake.
