This year, across 101 endorsements, DSA chapters have already locked in an off-year best 47.5% win rate—and with three runoffs still to be decided in December, this could be the first year in the modern history of the organization that DSA chapters post an off-year win rate of >50%.

A third major US city has a socialist mayor on the ballot this year: Rochester DSA is running a slate of six, including Mary Lupien for Mayor of Rochester and Stanley Martin, Kelly Cheatle, Chiara “Kee Kee” Smith, Kevin Stewart, and Tonya Noel Stevens for Rochester City Council's at-large seats.

Fresh in my inbox: The membership of Milwaukee DSA has voted to endorse Alex Brower's campaign for Common Council District 3. Brower has run for a few things in the past four or so years; he's gotten unlucky, but this might finally be his year.

With the elections of Mike Siegel and Gabriela Biro, it looks like the net gain for DSA (in elections) this year will be 18. 23 new winners and 5 incumbent losses.
