Last playlist-- Dylan's love songs. These are songs about love and not necessarily all romantic. Many are heartbreaking and many are petty. open.spotify.com/playlist/4at...

Here's a picture of Dylan with one of my other heroes, James Baldwin, in 1963. It's pretty clear that Baldwin's face is saying "I bet you think you can say the n-word and no one will really call you on it when you write Hurricane"

Third, my favorite political songs by Dylan. Guy was petty and poetic and profound and radical all in the same breath it's amazing. open.spotify.com/playlist/5cm...

Second, my favorite Dylan covers. One per song, one per artist (or you'd see more Watchtower, Just Like a Woman, and some Neil Young). This is a good one for people who are in the "can't stand his voice" camp but want to understand his immense influence. open.spotify.com/playlist/70D...

First, just a basic list of my favorite versions of my favorite Dylan songs. These are in chronological order of when they were written. A nice career spanning list that skips the Christian stuff lol. open.spotify.com/playlist/1bR...

The most exciting thing about this film is that a new generation of young people will be introduced to the immense work of Dylan, and of course Timothée is just a fantastic actor. So here are a few playlists for new and old fans

I first heard him when I was in middle school-- my dad had a couple of tapes that I'd play on repeat, and I bought him a tape of Time Out of Mind for $15 at The Wall and then took it. Now my kid is named after Bob.
