I was also one of the backers. As others stated it is not your fault what happened with Unbound.

I would be fine paying for the book sans any discount if you do happen to find a publisher.

Depends on what type of property developer you are. Plenty of unethical ones start then ask later

Some of those conservatives may need to be resurrected from their graves….

Welcome to the zombie debates !

Yep. It used to be 2 years in the ‘90s for a work based green card.

The 100k fee would have to be paid by the company from what I gather.

I think either they want to kill all work visas or are trying to get more money out of the tech companies in exchange for reverting that decision

Assuming they will want to stay …
September 20, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Unfortunately it looks like that is the case. Though I expect the immediate reaction will be an increase in green card applications for those already in the US
September 20, 2025 at 4:58 PM
It is even worse if the BBC report is correct. The 100k fee is going to be an annual charge for H1-B visas

You need a different name

BritTwit sounds like a person who would vote for reform

The GOP has been anti-science for a lot longer than the past 6 years. See Mooney’s book: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rep...

Maybe the PR was written by a LLM?

What happens if an AI air controller ‘hallucinates’ a plane or the lack of a plane….

The ‘traditional party’ was heading in this direction for decades. Trump just accelerated the course they were already on.

There is obviously a different experience between the UK and the US. The article is US centric. Though boomers even in the US still has good options compared to latter generations (todays problems can be traced back to Reagan/Thatcher)

I hope catch and release ;)

That would be a good idea. And they could apportion revenue based on the reading stats

I am more used to getting cans of maple syrup (540ml) for around $7 to $9. Which come in 4 or 5 grades

I would not be surprised if the rules were obtuse

Is available from non-Amazon sites like Kobo?
July 15, 2025 at 11:50 PM
So we double the membership fee … which is something that needs to be sold as an idea (there are plenty of other non fannish cons with higher fees and less programme).
But then do we become a convention with customers?
July 14, 2025 at 10:09 PM
There are going to be cultural issues to deal with as well
July 14, 2025 at 10:07 PM
Those numbers are in line with my back of the envelope calculations.

Then we also run into the amount of work done to put programme together. Which from experience is a lot more hours…. And what if volunteers say ‘those guys are getting paid so you do not need me’.
