Mason's questioning of Davey on BBC News at 6 didn't seem impartial. Mason suggested that Davey's attacking of the BBC was something out of the Trump playbook, which is sinister because Trump wants censorship, while Davey wants a fairer amount of air time. Troubling interview

Yes it was a downright lie, but one seemingly intended to prevent a derailing of the press conference that could have damaged them both. Whether that's morally acceptable is another thing
