I think a gradual tone shift from light to serious as a game goes on is basically baked into the genre - at the start of XCOM you have your silly guys named Roll Fizzlebeef and its mostly funny if they die, but after being on a hundred missions with him, you do care emotionally and mechanically.

I'm still losing my mind that the version of her that did this literally had time powers and as much time to figure shit out as she could possibly want. It'd still be bad of she didn't, but they could have just not written that part.

There is cheap thin paper and expensive thin paper, but there's 0 chance anything print on demand is using something like Tomoe River paper people need to get real here
