Very good bounce back after the awful second period. Georgiev really showed his true colors in the third, while Blackwood shut the door. Needed those two points. Now gotta find a way to do it again tomorrow #GoAvsGo

The stats and the eye test do not match up. No clue what the Avs were thinking or trying to do that period, but now there backs are against the wall against a bad team and a bad goalie. I plead with them to come out and the third and shoot every puck #GoAvsGo

Couple of lulls over the course of the period, but ultimately San Jose just couldn’t hang. Avs really started shooting the puck after Georgie gave up the first shot. They know what that dude’s all about #GoAvsGo

Score effects skew the final stats but that just wasn’t good enough. Uninspired hockey from almost everyone, but especially the top line guys. On the “bright side” not a single issue with goaltending tonight. Refreshing feeling #Avs

The first 5-6 minutes of the second were pretty good, then right back to shit. I really hope the guys are still dealing with some sort of illness because if they’re healthy and playing like this, that’s totally unacceptable. Blackwood still rules though #GoAvsGo

Vancouver came out of the gates hot, but Avs weathered the storm until the wheels fell off at the end of the period. Still, only down one after one. Plenty of time to get back in this one #GoAvsGo

Score effects in full force here. Avs looked like a team that just got home from a two week road trip, plus they got some BS luck. Missed opportunity to make some hay in the Central #Avs

Pretty boring period. Utah appears to be playing the “let’s just get in the way of everything” strategy which is always pretty effective against the Avs. Gotta find a way to break through in the second #GoAvsGo

Avs really let off the gas after going up 3-0. Missed on a couple PP opportunities that would’ve iced it and it cost them. Still have the one goal lead heading into the third, but can’t sit back for 20 minutes. Pitt has all the momentum now #GoAvsGo

Devils made a little push with the extended empty net in the third, but Avs really dominated that game from the second period on. Really impressive for the 4th game of a road trip and the 2nd game in as many nights. Big 4 point weekend #GoAvsGo

2nd period coming up. I’m a little surprised the numbers are this lopsided from the first, though I do think NJ was the better team. Only thing that matters is 2-0 Avs. #GoAvsGo

This team certainly doesn’t quit, but you can’t play like 3 good minutes of hockey and expect to win. Wedgewood was good, but I didn’t love a couple of those goals he gave up. Still, I think this game is way more lopsided if Georgie’s in net. On to Detroit #Avs

This is about as bad as it gets, but as we know, a 2 goal deficit isn’t insurmountable for this team. The problem is the Canes have locked it down defensively. I have a feeling we’re in for a rather boring and frustrating third period #GoAvsGo

Ummm that was not a good period. Like at all. BUT you come out tied and your goalie(!) played really well. So we got that going for us, which is nice #GoAvsGo

The injuries are piling up and the puck isn’t bouncing our way right now, but even then if feels like the team isn’t playing anywhere near good enough to win. Time to look in the mirror and figure out whatever you need to do to get back on the right track #Avs

AWFUL period and now they head to the third trailing again. Had a couple PP opportunities to get themselves back in it and they could barely get anything set up. Need another third period effort like last night, only this time need to come out with two points #GoAvsGo
