Yikes. We need a blue wave to right this ship.

Don't forget the part about people telling him that they believe he is a messenger of God.

Business to business that's basically what they are doing. Quotes that are valid for 30 days now contain a disclaimer reserving the right to adjust the price and delivery terms depending on how the tariffs are applied.

I'm thinking maybe you skipped breakfast this morning, and this is the consequence.

I like this hard line approach to address these Gypsies in the palace.

Gypsies in the palace (apologies for political incorrectness).

Just nine days later, dad breathed his last breath. Just days away, I still don't have any plans for this year's game. Perhaps we'll watch it with mom again.

Throughout his life as a parent he would rarely have more than one drink or even one shared with mom, but it was a ritual he savored nonetheless. After his snack, he went back to sleep. He smiled again, later, when we told him that his team had won in an exciting overtime nail-biter.

He got a little brightness in his eyes when I offered him a sip of my beer and also another sip of Lori's wine. He really seemed to enjoy his final taste of alcohol.

At one point, when he had called for help getting to the temporary commode we had set up for him near the bed, we were able to talk him into taking a taste of some of the game snacks. Just little bites, as he wasn't eating much of anything, but enough to remember how game day food tastes.

Dad had fallen asleep in the first quarter of most of the playoff games, so he was aware of who was in it. He had no strong allegiance to either team. I think he still felt like Patrick Mahomes had come up from an underdog position, so he said he was rooting for the Chiefs.

In the case of Ohio teams in the NFL, the loyalty and underdog streams crossed quite often. For last year's big game he was too weak to watch, but Lori prepared some snacks and we went over anyway to watch the game with mom.

Dad grew up in Ohio where pretty much everybody is a football fan. My mother's brother was a NCAA Div I football coach, and my family traveled to watch many games. He would root for my Uncle's team, but outside of specific loyalties, he would root for the underdog.
