There is no justification for it. No due process. If un-uniformed, masked thugs can violate the law by grabbing someone in the country legally, without any notice or hearing, then WHO'S NEXT? This is an attempt to NORMALIZE fascist disappearances of anyone who criticizes the government. UNAMERICAN!

Trump's fervent supporters (not the wholly corrupt grifters in the inner circles who are fully cognizant of their own criminal abandonment of our Constitution), are so blinded by grievance that they are happy to discard PROCESS (like rule of law, democracy) in exchange for outcomes they want.

This is a problem, because it divides the populace against standing against corruption and the aggregation of tyrannical power. Americans who disagree with us on policy are still our fellow Americans. We have to respect aspects of their discontent, but NEVER accept autocracy as legitimate. RESIST.

Despite likely personal political inclinations, Justices Roberts and Coney Barrett were capable of fielty to the law this time. One hopes this presages how they would vote on the broader question of Executive authority to render Congressional actions and the entire appropriations process irrelevant.

The Court may yet muddy up the separation of powers and checks on presidental authority, but the freeze case was only to support existing understanding of the Constitution and law by lifting the freeze and prevent irreparable harm while the Court decides whether to take on the underlying issue.

How did Alito become a Supreme Court Justice, when he's so completely lacks the capacity to see the relevant legal issue? The question is not whether a District Court judge has the power issue a ruling; the question is if the President can autocratically void Congressional appropriations?
