#804 - The Jam – Sound Affects

This was such a good album for bass nerds. I could listen to Bruce Foxton do his thing all day.

#805 - Simon & Garfunkel — Sounds of Silence (1966)

I’ll be honest, I got distracted once I realized the guitarist who played 12-string on the title track was also the guy who helped popularize the Coral electric sitar.

#806 - Beck — Morning Phase (2014)

Pretty good, but I’ll side with genre-blending Beck.

#807 - The Long Winters — When I Pretend to Fall (2003)

God, this felt like a time machine back to high school and blowing up alt rock songs near the point of bursting. Real nice surprise.

#808 - The Cars — Candy-O (1979)

Gotta be honest, the Cars are not exactly my jam. There’s something janky about them that makes them unique in pop, but just doesn’t connect with me.

#809 - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds — Let Love In (1994)

Somehow I’d skipped listening to this whole album. The instrumentation is almost orchestral.

Cave is poetic without forgetting to craft a melody.

Awesome stuff.

First up, Mudhoney’s 1988, Superfuzz Bigmuff

Love how raw and messy this is.

Watching the Premier Guitar clip of SOAD’s rig and, oh buddy, presence and treble at 10?

That’s just mean to everyone around.

Whenever I fly, I like taking a cold cut with. Today it’s coppa, salami, capicolla, mozzarella, and a homemade tapenade.

Or there'll be false dichotomies presented like we can have dense housing built *or* trees planted.

Coming from Baltimore, it's such a weird fake choice to hear people say sincerely.
