Exactly! If Universal really does put out more content I want at least a snipet of what their trip around Oz was like. I know the circumstances were darker but it just feels like a comedic gold mine.

Technically set in the same-ish universe, but with stuff added in between. I think the Witch dies in the Wicked book like wiht the L. Frank Baum original but the circumstances have differences.

The musical and the movie have even more differences though.

They pretty much sanded the ever loving heck out of it and made it a bit of romance. I personally like the differences simply for the variety, but they are definitely worlds apart.

I like to think Dorothy is lowkey confused and mildly concerned for all that's happening but hey, it's a fairy kigndom, who is she to know? All while Boq and Fiyero bicker like their classic book counterparts and the Lion acts like a lost cousin to Courage the Cowardly dog.
