It’s always been the weather for me. Hurricanes freak me out and I start to sweat profusely once it gets above 72 degrees F outside (thanks, Scandinavian cold-hardy ancestors.) once a clearer picture of its politics and lifestyle came into view, it sounded more and more like literal Hell

There’s someone in my wife’s hometown who is flying a confederate flag in their front yard. A couple years ago it was a Steelers flag, and when I first met her it was a Don’t Tread on Me. I predict that it will be a Boston Celtics flag next, followed by a Nazi flag

You can tell when they realize they fucked up by how little they talk when a guest goes off the cuff. The episode when they interviewed Norman Finkelstein is hilarious because he goes on a major pro-Russia rant and you can hear the air suck out of the room

They’ve been so phenomenally wrong about major things like this that while I still enjoy them, I take a lot of their serious content with a fistful of salt. Wrong about the 2016 election, wrong about Russia, wrong about January 6th, etc. Detached irony/doomerism only gets you so far

That’s all I do on here. I have way more fun replying to things that bigger accounts post than I do posting my own things, and that’s because I feel like I’m pretty good at being normal when talking to anyone
