I refuse to "learn" from those who profess faith but not discernment. From those who strive for tradition by selling out the future. From those who speak of purity by polluting the human experience with hate.
There is NO system of people management that isn't easily exploitable by people with bad intentions, and your way of navigating those systems is the correct way, not the cynical way.

Unfortunately, a LOT of people joined specifically to be led. And that meant confusing rank with presumed correct authority out of a need to relinquish responsibility. But leaders know better. You can't stay in too long before professional development demands you know how to serve.

You're absolutely correct, which was why when I was in, I felt obligated to make sure that anyone who came to me with questions that I walked through the actual documents when helping them arrive at an answer. My first question was always, "What's the reg say?" and then go from there.

My friend's daughter is very much involved with animal rescue. In an effort to raise funds for the shelter, she did some art that I bought of a ratboy named Walter. I have Walter with me when I lay down the bass tracks.
