I love my Razer Naga Pro with the interchangeable side buttons but at work I cannot let go of my vertical mouse (Logitech).

I feel it's also Root's secret sauce (both the board game and it's digital adaptation). Got so many who would never touch an "actual" war game to dive in and enjoy themselves on the back of the style alone.

IDILI is a super promising horror game digging deep into Sardinian folklore to bring to life an immersive environment based on stunning, real locations. Fascinating game! There's an Early Access version, but I was told to be on the lookout for a big update!

@midowstudios.bsky.social has another VR game tailor-made to appeal to me: a card-based, turn-based spell slinging game called Discovery of Magic. The designer is full of cool ideas for the game, and it's one of the best spellcasting systems I have seen in VR! midowstudios.com/discovery-of...

VR games were few and far between this year, but I fell in love with Echoes of Mora from @selkiesinteractive.bsky.social . VR (or flat screen) that's Everybody's Gone to the Rapture meets amazing style and a lovely swimming mechanic! Go see them in hall 10! Or store.steampowered.com/app/3129050/...

This would be really funny! But more seriously, it was great seeing you and the game there was really nice! Even though it still feels mind-boggling to have reached a point where highlighting "games that promote democracy" is even required. But you're doing the good work!

Playing at 3 or 4 unlocks so much deck potential ! You can try crazy builds, and the jump to often 2 clues per location to 3 also rewards investing into some heavy-hitting cards! Highly agreed either way: 2 player is a tighter puzzle, 3+ is just more epic and open!

Persona 4/5 come to mind immediately for sheer kinetic joy of use. Chrono Cross impressed me for its beauty on psx. And FFXIV changing with each extension is epic!

Such a good, tight game! It's really a shame the company was shut down and there is little hope to for the planned expansions to see the light of day...

I feel like the L5R 5th edition rules can fit all three if GM'd right. I especially liked the diplomatic/social encounters rules, and the way stats (rings) combine with skills lets you be very expressive in ways you approach solving situations.
