As a working class valleys boy/OAP, I was somewhat intimidated by Opera despite coming from the land of song. However since being exposed to WNO, I have to say I absolutely it. No more expensive in WMC than seeing a band. And definitely not elitist in my experience.

The Welsh regulations are completely out of date and not even as good as the English regs being updated as reported here. So much for the green agenda from Caerdydd.

Champion the wonder horse I still sing it and think it's one of the best TV themes ever! Although the other two are a close call, being born in 1961 I had prime kids TV themes. BBC Vision on had great music.

White Horses will always be school holidays and that sense of freedom. I remember Belle and Sebastian but the theme tune had gone. Just replayed it and the wife immediately said Belle et Sebastian. Roobarb was a bit young for me, like a lot of kids TV from the 60's and 70's just wholesome stuff.
