It takes time to come to terms with this kind of thing.Talk to your Sis and see what she knows and expects so far,and comfort each other if you can.🤗

You're sad and panicking.I'd be more shocked if you weren't upset.
However, you can't blame yourself. Some older people get dementia and others don't,and the progress can be fast or slower, depending on her situation.
There are better treatments on the way too - so don't despair yet.🤗

Do you have a date yet for her transfer, and the Home confirmed?
If not, then she'll be able to be cared for at home for a while yet,so you'll still be able to see her.🤗

That's a fairly common thing.Sometimes a reminder can help as long as it's done gently.😊

Hope they can find a good care home near enough so you can all visit her as often as possible.Visits help dementia patients cope and you'd be able to make sure she's ok.

Heartbreaking for her and you and some days will be far better and easier to cope with than others.

Nice to be missed, but your Nan comes before Bluesky!🥰
Sad she has signs of dementia. It's a cruel disease, but maybe she'll be given access to care and the newer treatments.🤞🤗
