I think this is the case. Lot of European stuff is coming through and don't forget a lot is generated within Ukraine itself (Kongsberg, Rheinmetall etc.) But will only come online and produce serious volumes in the next few months. And who knows the next German PM might actually have balls...

Unfortunately its not rocket science. Ukraine needs to kill troops and material untill Russia runs out and leaves Putin no options. Meanwhile Ukraine must develop nuclear deterrence.

Not only that. Ukraine in the Council, Commission, SM, CSDP is actually an economic no-brainer and makes EU strategic autonomy a helluva lot more plausible.

Germany is very rapidly becoming a geoplitical nuisance at a time that we could really use an extra EU champion that has a working defence industry and a very competent military cadre.

Good to have elections in feb. Scholz just cannot make the switch to Germany being a geopolitical EU champion.
