At work we keep everything in OneNote, but I carry a small notebook around to handwrite stuff down and type it in later. Early on when I just typed I left so much detail out. My handwritten notes are difficult for most others to follow but for me they've got every detail I need

I'm not sure if it trickles up to the worst of us, but it certainly is making a great foundation for the world that their generation will take charge of

Yeah, I'm not in CA, but depending on the size of their family, they'd need to make around 130k/yr in my area to have a nice home for their family. And I'd still be ok with that

I've also been enjoying "Yellowjackets". It's by no means a masterpiece, and it leans *heavily* into 90s nostalgia, but it's a good time and has some supernatural "The Craft" vibes going on. I can't really think of movies that hit me hard recently. Furiosa? I liked it, but maybe not for everyone.

I've felt this way about media since COVID basically. But a few gems got me to lock in. Best hard Sci-Fi series: The Expanse, bonus because it leans heavily on themes of oppression and resistance. Wish I had more suggestions, LotR on loop is by no means a bad time, maybe the Rankin & Bass "Hobbit"?

In the opening scene of Snoopy Come Home, Charlie Brown and Linus are hanging out at the beach. Charlie decides to pick up a rock and give it a good toss. Linus gets upset and says to him "It took that rock 4000 years to get to shore. And now you're throwing it back". I think that's relevant here.
