I watched Jaws secretly, hiding behind the sofa while my parents thought I was in bed. Didn't want to go to the bathroom on my own for a while after that because I was scared a shark would come out of the toilet and get me. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The only instance I remember was my parents telling me not to read The Thorn Birds, which my gran had lying around, because they thought I was too young to read it at the time. Read it anyway, and by the time they cottoned on, I was already well over halfway through, so they left me to it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
