if he ever tried western garments, i think he'd opt for something very utilitarian - pants a little less fitted, boxier, more prominent box pleats, & suspenders. sleeves would be rolled up but not short!

in that 1930s-1940s setting??? sq in my head is so traditional, being raised by qfg & all, i'd think he'd be wearing changshan of sorts!!! probably even some of qfg's. something like this! a nice photo of some lads in lighter changshan too, vs. the winter lined ones from the cdrama 😂
