His 2025 option year was triggered, but his play hasn’t been worth his $2M salary. He certainly won’t be back at that number, and the messaging from Ernst leans toward the younger options. I won’t be surprised if Uhre opens the year hot and they try to get *something* for him in the summer window.

The finances of this are interesting. Presumably, we have to switch from the U22 model to the 3 DP model and give up the $2M in GAM? Seems un-Union. Damiani can be brought in as young DP, though, then take Uhre’s DP spot next year.
