I struggle with drawing machines, so I'm working on a quick and dirty model of the one-person "ship" that one of my poor astronauts will be using to land on Mars.

My mini comics tend to be very densely drawn and take many hours per panel. So as I block out my graphic novel, l'm aware I'll need to come up with a simpler approach if I ever hope to get this book done! 😅

Velociraptor I cast in bronze, in pieces over past couple of weeks - from a 3d model by Clynche Art. Lots of learning in pouring and putting this together, but huge improvement on what Ive done before! Stoked!

I do try to avoid the generic “pretty face” common to many comics (and Hollywood for that matter) so I spend a lot of time making sure my character’s faces reflect something about their (no doubt) tortured inner landscape.
