I said, "seemed more like," and honestly not to be dismissive as I had no better words to phrase it. To me - and maybe I read the statement wrong, seemed to imply those things couldn't exist w/o FB. It was not meant as a "everyone has the same opportunity," nor as a personal attack to you.

My original response was counter to the notion that only people who barely use FB could leave, when all, in fact, could leave. That doesn't speak to detriments. Same with my response to you about being forgotten. Nuance is important to all discussions!

Not to be dismissive, but these sound more like excuses. You can have a fun time wherever it exists. If you need FB for that, go for it. It is not my life, and I cannot speak for yours. I have lived in the morally gray most of my life, so I, for one, understand. I've been invited to more traveling.

Agreed! We can only do what we can when we can until we can do all of what it is we desire.

I agree, but as someone who has moved every few years my entire life - now 34, soon 35, I don't understand this inclination for people to want a multitude of people to remember them instead of the people who really matter to them.
