The biggest issue with Rivals is there's no crossplay in Ranked, not even opt-in like other shooters. So there's like a 2% chance you get to fight any other controller players unless you're just playing casuals.

It's a 3rd person shooter with a parry button. Just find the parry button and the shoot button and you're chillin. Everything else is pretty clearly explained in the UI
