A basic example of OpenAI not doing enough to protect their users would be: under "temporary chat" there's no warning "temporary chat" isn't currently temporary, despite the Arstechnica article stating "temporary" chats must be kept.

These chat logs are comical

I hope people rethink group chats and start using Signal. signal.app

For example, Facebook uses image metadata to mark and flag AI images.

If you ask me, removing a watermark is as easy as removing metadata…it’s just one serves as an ad. about.fb.com/news/2024/02...

Misleading posts claiming Signal is vulnerable are getting thousands, if not millions, of impressions. This happens frequently, there are attempts to undermine Signal and scare users away from safety. Signal is one of the most secure apps ever made.

Please watch out and let family and friends know.

The U.K. government is actively endangering journalists, whistleblowers, abuse victims and the general public. Someone is going to get killed.

For me in New Zealand (not even in the U.S!), these images don’t even load + I had to use a direct link to access the account.

If it’s accurate Meta is intentionally or incompetently doing this to please an administration, the U.S. would be manipulating it’s networks to billions around the world.

I saw that too, I assume it’s a translation error. You can see in the right of the screenshot there’s Chinese characters, It may mean “clever” if this webpage is correct.

The drone company’s website doesn’t even have HTTPS, yet their flagship feature is ‘AI tracking’
January 1, 2025 at 11:48 AM
My relative bought a drone. The drone doesn’t fly without an account (which requires email verification).

I had to spend 30 minutes over the phone with them because the app’s login barely worked and their drone couldn’t be used. Wtf?

Someone liked this post after a while, so I checked the site, and they got so mad they seem to have blocked all New Zealand IPs 💀

On the same day the TikTok ban was upheld in the U.S., I got this on my Instagram reels feed. I don’t get this shit on TikTok. Meta is careless.
(Not graphic content, labeled because it’s sexist)

The page is full of sexist "memes".
November 30, 2024 at 6:27 PM
Today while scrolling Instagram, I got a wildly sexist post encouraging insecure men to stalk busy college women.

Meta obviously isn’t doing enough against this, and politicians are too busy pushing surveillance laws disguised as safety laws.

(this is not graphic content. i’ve added a spoiler)
November 30, 2024 at 6:17 PM
Facebook doesn’t think a page with a sexist name should be removed.
(this is my report.)

If anyone wants actually private notes, use signal.org 's "note to self" feature. Absolutely nobody can see these notes or your messages because Signal is encrypted and an amazing app. support.signal.org/hc/en-us/art...
