Say it ain’t so. Watching him defy medical science and ripping through defences in his second lease of rugby life was one of the more inspiring stories of the modern game. And a helluva role model for the lighties in the squad too.

Just finished: Bluets by Maggie Nelson

A tiny little depth-charge of numbered paragraphs from 1 to 240 somehow weaving the colour blue through a wide genre-mashed tapestry of essayist’s musings, poetry and raw, sexual realism. This was fucking great.

Went into a doom spiral after getting BIA scan that returned a body fat % of 29 which is obese. My friends in Jesus, get a professional with calipers or spend the money on a DEXA scan and don’t give a jot of credence to something using statistical averages from population groups.
