3/ in short, you’re absolutely correct. That order would likely fall on the heads of much junior leaders and put them in a terrible position. I think they will choose wisely.

2/ in 31 years I never received or heard of a “shoot to wound“ ROE. LE might, but infantry- not so much. We should all be very concerned as this looks like an attempt to normalize what should be the extraordinary.

1/ Espers and Milley did their jobs. T2.0 learned from his “mistake” which is why you have both an unqualified/ loyal SECDEF and CJCS. After them it’s really then Congress and SCOTUS to stop stupid. It’s better that Service chiefs keep their powder dry or they too will be replaced by heelers.
