tbh seeing reviews like that does push it up the reading pile (which is finally shorter than me, barring comics back log). Although it (and it's compainion) is pretty much at the top now.

Pretty much. A willingness to learn and a willingness to do. Pretty the same with everything in life.

Nah, side effect of being a certain falvour of Brit I think. Although, you coudl just say 'Nah, it's called being Stoic'. That and the Grim Dark did start as a commentary/satire of British culture..

The Hex means something. It just might mean 'Unknown error'. But the number make the end user feel better , and the tech smack his head into the desk. MS does have a tool for translating it at least. You might just not want to know lol

Tell me. It makes troubleshooting that much more of a pain in the back side. Once you could look at the error message, then you'd know what to look at. these days it's 'Cool. So what actually happened?' Then get digging just to find out what it did.

Upside is that it's mostly likely just a network blip throwing it out. Or something needs updating (although Mac is generally fairly good at keeping itself updated). If it were a Windows machine, opinions would differ ;) I am a Windows and Mac user/support tech ;)

True enough. Well, until there's something random in there that needs referencing down the line. Although wondering how much of the old Bill King story will be inteergrated.

I run on a simple system of reference anything you quote/refer to (on requested generally) if you want the statement to be accepted as lore accurate. If has been superceeded, then in turn that should be referenced in teh counter.

Ah, the old arguement of 'You'd have to be mad to do that!'. No. People have thier own internal process. What one person thinks is madness is perfect sanity to another.
