all this to say, if you find it harder to feel confident with yourself than others, it's not your fault.

but also it's not a race. there is no real finish line. try to have fun with it. find community with people who are also figuring it out.

we don't express ourselves in a vacuum. having other people to reference makes it much easier to feel confident in how we present ourselves to the world.

this also means it's not an even playing field. there are more popular representations of straight cis people, of certain body types, etc.

it's important to note that labels like enby are descriptions. you don't need to aspire to change yourself so your chosen labels are more "correct".

i like to think of it more like inspiration. you can look at how other people express identity as you consider your own expression.

self discovery never really ends. it's ok and normal to be uncertain about things. life might seem easier if we could pretend to have it all figured out, but it's not a flaw to acknowledge we don't and can't. 1/
