Octopath Traveler 2 not even getting nominated for best soundtrack let alone winning was so crazy to me. It is a popularity contest more than anything (like most award shows)

Fromsoft players are like... damaged. Speaking as someone who loves the games, the community is insufferable in their attitude that the game has a "right" way to be played. (Probably born from the "Its so hard!" circle jerk early coverage/marketing of DS1 spawned)

Like actors admitting they go on there for research on topics or sports media looking at team subreddits

The definitive edition re-release has been a thing since the 90s and generally has been a net positive for those games.
So many of my favorite games are a refined re-release of an original game. International versions, Final Mixes, Royals ect.
Replacing them with DLC is a net negative.
