It's like, sure, I love ____ more than ___ but ___ is more accessible than ____ so I don't really care. I'ma just choose ___ instead of ____.

Root Beer is one of my favorite sodas, but I'ma still think about drinking Dr. Pepper before I even realize I can drink Root Beer.

But at the end of the day, Nuclear Fission is the best option we have. Its fully controlled, has redundancies in case of a meltdown, and likely won't irradiate any of the land outside of the plant. 2/3 of Three Mile Island is owned by Microsoft, so they can power an AI. What a waste.

If you think I'm just pro renewable energy, I'm not. Hydro is the worst renewable. It's horrible for the environment because it creates a gigantifuck lake that shouldn't be there, it causes massive environmental damage, and it's not really that good anyway. Solar, wind, and geothermal are all better

And yes, the city I'm talking about wouldn't feasibly have the resources to power the largest city to the north of them without a huge Fission Plant, but it would be theoretically possible.
April 12, 2025 at 12:47 AM
It's crazy. That town had the option to essentially power all of their city, the biggest one to the north of them, and the extension that gets better sales tax, and people protested because it was *Nuclear* energy. Not coal, not solar, not hydro. It was Nuclear.

And for Context, I grew up in a place where people were mad that Solar Energy was so productive they had to turn off the plants. There was a coal plant, which is so much more dangerous than Nuclear Fission, that is currently still there because of this anti Nuclear Myth.

So no, 15/hr would not make my 13 dollar Wendy's large meal a sit down restaurant meal, because it already is.
March 25, 2025 at 8:35 PM
Because if i did, i would need to be able to pay for rent every month with $1140 every month. I won't be able to pay for gas, I won't have much to save, and I won't have any money for insurance. Can't drive without insurance, can I? At full time hours, I would make 600 bucks a week. 2400 a month.

All this $15/hr minimum wage will change is whether or not i can afford either of those after working for 1 hour. That is one meal, for one hour of work. There are 21 meals every week, and rent is too high for me to spend 231 bucks on a big mac every week.

Goddamn it, I knew I should have just put 0 Kelvin. Turns out, after a little light googling, I have found out I did not in fact give absolute zero. 0 Kelvin is absolute zero, which translates to 459.67⁰F

Hey, Hank? This is how you get a visit from Krampus and the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.

Okay so the funniest part of this to me, as a previous enjoyer of boats and planes, is "The lights? Why would they have mandated lights??!!???" Like. Idk? Maybe so they don't get into a PLANE CRASH??? "But drones don't need those!!" They do come with them.

Make sure you have the improved lasso as well. If the Bola breaks, but you're close enough, the improved lasso will help a lot. You might not even have to get off your horse to turn them until you get to the law.

Yes, yes, yes. I know it. You, the lawyer, certainly know it. I didn't counter anything. But honestly? I needed to get that off my chest. I'm so sick of it. So many movies have morals that are right in your face but "skeleton does Christmas" is more important for some reason.
December 14, 2024 at 3:00 PM
Counterpoint, Nightmare before Christmas is just as much of a Christmas Movie as it is a Halloween movie, and a movie about self love and accepting yourself for who you are. It also has a really positive message of "people should be allowed to experiment, and find their truth." 1/2

Wait. Does that mean that when someone is underwhelmed, the originally thought to be capsizing event was just a really weird wave? In the same process, can we assume that being overwhelmed is just a boat capsizing and getting back onto the hull properly?
