Do not let your outrage and your learning stop with ICE. Develop an understanding of the connections between federal repression and local policing, between repressive bureaucracies at home and abroad, between the actors who profit on it in 50 languages, etc.

I’m *extremely concerned* about the way folks are reforming their image of the cops in light of everything that’s happening, even though we only have a handful examples of them disagreeing with ICE, while still being responsible themselves for the murders of Black and brown people across the country

And it’s not that people shouldn’t be mad— they should be and we should mobilize that anger. But a force like ICE doesn’t pop up over night. The carceral system has manufactured consent for this moment for generation.
