I built a BYOP budget deck for Howler based around Kiln Fiend creatures and loot spells and it's been pretty saucy so far. I think Howler will be a menace at tables.

I felt the same about Ghyrson Starn when I still played EDH. It sort of bothered me not being "Magic" and had the intention of making the deck Niv Mizzet, but I gave it a chance. Starn became my signature deck. Fun cards are fun cards at the end of the day! Been playing since Onslaught.
