Excited to see what this looks like.

There are more and more stories coming out lately of adtech and data collection worst case scenarios coming true. Moving towards having safer tech eco-systems is exactly why I'm here.

Maybe they're looking for new avenues for financial gains...

He's closer to having an OK anecdote to express how stupid GDP is as a measure of value and long-term health of an economy. Maybe they economists produce the poo themselves and pay each other for the the others poo.

Cheap / common American beer in the states is almost religiously served cold as possible. I understand the function of "ice cold" watery beer in hotter climates, but more broadly I think the flavor of those beers is a large influence on the zeal that can be seen for very cold temps.

Completely agree with the sentiment. The financial structure isn't even a new problem and it's gotten worse. However, I think the only people who will miss out on "weirdos" are the average person. Most of the weirdos have always existed underground because that's where their ecosystem is.

Initially: learning, by doing, to use Linux and docker. More recently: figuring out what services are actually useful and worth the time and resources for me.

Wow, I wonder if anyone's been suggesting this sort of concern to governments for decades?
October 4, 2025 at 6:34 PM
They've been suggesting most likely a couple years timeline, but potentially sooner.

This is related to security updates, not to the AOSP / QPR1 situation resulting from Google not releasing their code which is the reason P10 support isn't available yet.
