The Blues Project is alive and well, with Roy Blumenfeld leading a new powerful lineup that also includes a band of talented musicians including David Aguilar and Mark Newman on guitars, Tim Eschliman on bass and Ken Clark on keyboards and vocals. In the fall of 1965, the Blues Project played alongside the likes of Big Joe Williams, Son House, Bukka White, Skip James, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters and Otis Spann, to name a few. "Shindig" is a free event beginning at 11:30 am which follows Kenwood’s Hometown Parade and it is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Glen Ellen Kenwood. BBQ hot dogs, and beverages including wine and beer will be available for purchase. All proceeds go towards Rotary’s local and international service projects. The lively party will wrap up the day early enough for people to move onto fireworks in Santa Rosa or Sonoma that evening. Come and join us!
