Highly recommend Stephen Kinzer’s book All the Shah’s Men if you want to learn about Iran, going back to 1950s. And you will discover everything that led up to the Iran that we know today. Kinzer is an excellent historian and an excellent writer.

Trump greatly curtailed the operations of Voice of America many months ago. VOA existed to help spread democracy throughout the world. Maybe it would be useful to have it reinstated in the hope that the US can communicate to the people of Iran. I doubt they read Truth Social.
